  • Blokart landsailing stands out as one of the rare sports where both able-bodied athletes and wheelchair users can compete on equal footing within the same event. This inclusivity is made possible because blokarts demand no lower body movement. Some of our blokarts feature 5-point harnesses, ensuring stability for disabled pilots without necessitating extensive modifications. Essentially, if you can handle a rope and steer using the steer bar (akin to bicycle handlebars), you're good to go! For added comfort and familiarity, some wheelchair pilots opt to use their personal wheelchair seat, which can easily be fitted into the blokart seat.

To facilitate accessibility further, the sides of the blokart frame can be lowered, easing access.

  • Yes, blokarting is suitable for children. However, we require children to be 8yo or older and they will be required to undergo introductory lessons and demonstrate basic competency before participating in a single blokart.

  • A blokart consists of a lightweight frame, a sail, and three wheels. The sailor sits in the cockpit and controls the blokart using a steering bar. By adjusting the angle of the sail and the position of the wheels, the sailor can harness the wind to propel the blokart forward and navigate various courses.

  • To get started with blokarting, simply contact a blokarting venue or club in your area to inquire about rental options, lessons, and upcoming events. Most venues welcome newcomers and offer introductory packages to help you experience the excitement of blokarting firsthand.

If you would like to purchase a Blokart, contact any team member. They will be more than willing to answer any questions.

  • Blokarting is generally considered a safe sport when practiced responsibly and under the supervision of trained instructors. Blokarts are designed with safety features such as roll bars and harnesses to protect sailors in the event of a tip-over or collision. Participants are also required to adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear at all times.
